Vaughn Updates TPP Tank Design | October 1, 2025

As of October 1, 2025, we have revised the TPP tank design to remove the immersion well.

At Vaughn, we’re constantly striving for the best-of-the-best quality standards. In line with that, we have revised the TPP tank design to remove the immersion well.

Over time, due to the expansion and contraction of brass, immersion wells can develop leaks and slowly corrode the tank shell. Eliminating this component reduces potential failure risks and increases the tank’s service life.

The design change also improves thermal performance. Brass conducts heat and contributes to standby heat loss. Removing the well allows full foam insulation coverage to mitigate heat loss and increase energy efficiency.

From a manufacturing perspective, the simpler tank design reduces welded fittings. This increases the longevity of the product. It also eliminates dependence on an imported part, which helps us streamline our production and mitigate future cost pressures.
